Who is Looklet?

Looklet is a cutting-edge technology for e-commerce imagery created by fashion and advertising veterans in 2009. With headquarters in Stockholm and a smaller office in the US, we are an organization of passionate people of varied and international backgrounds that are changing the game of fashion photography.

How does the solution work?

Fashion items are photographed one at a time on one of Looklet's green mannequins, for which we offer female Standard and Plus Size, as well as Men's, Kids, and a Maternity add-on. Complimentary images, ghost and fabric details are captured within the same set for ease of use and continuity in conditions. After we process the images, retouch and prepare them for styling during a set turnaround, you then have the control of styling and outfitting on a model of your choice in the Look Creator software.

Can I provide you with external images?

No, we can’t process inputs from external setups as we only ensure consistency, photo-realism, and high-quality by shooting and processing the physical garments in a controlled environment.

Can I shoot shoes and accessories in the Looklet studio?

Yes, it is possible to shoot shoes, bags, bracelets, necklaces, scarves, watches, and belts on-mannequin in the Looklet studio. These are typically used as styling items in the look, enabling you to prop, show for scale, and sell.

Do you use avatars or CGI?

In the Looklet solution we use a hi-res combination of 3D and classic model photography where all assets (models, garments, poses, backgrounds) are created from real photos that have been digitized for you to use in your final looks

So, are your models real?

Yes, all models are real. A dedicated team performs model shoots 3-4 times per year and digitizes their faces in multiple HMUP looks. We deal with agencies and sub-license the model rights to you. Here you can see our current model offering per pose. Exclusive models can be shot and digitized for an additional fee.

Can I shoot 1 item and show it in multiple sizes?

No, it is not possible to show multiple sizes from 1 item image. The physical garments need to be shot in the mannequin’s size based on the corresponding clothing category. Stretching or shrinking proportions would impact the photorealism and quality of the final model images. Here you can see the Looklet Family, which includes mannequins for womenswear, menswear, kidswear, plus size, and maternity.

Is it possible to integrate with your solution?

Absolutely! We offer different out-of-the-box solutions and custom API integrations to connect with your systems and pull product data, push event notifications and export the final images alongside metadata. We also offer advanced integration opportunities so that you can merchandize based on stock status and any other metadata unique to you.

What options do I have if I want to shoot on Looklet?

Starting at 5,000 items per year, you can have your own Looklet studio installed in your premises. Should your volumes be lower, we are happy to put you in touch with one of our studio partners in North America or Europe who has our technology and can take care of your production instead. Get in touch so we can learn about your setup and tell you more.

How long does it take to implement your solution?

The onboarding process takes between 8-10 weeks from the moment we sign an agreement to when you go-live. During this process we pre-assess your site, we discuss any integration needs and we work closely with your team to make sure all network, logistics, and space requirements are met for when we do the installation and train your team.
